Northeastern Oklahoma Psychology Internship Program (NOPIP)
NOPIP is an APA-accredited internship consortium and a member of the Association of Psychology Postdoctoral and Internship Centers (APPIC). We are comprised of four agencies located in and around Tulsa, Oklahoma. Our commitment is to provide quality clinical training in the provision of general psychological services.
NOPIP Mission:
Provide quality clinical training utilizing a diverse range of theoretical models and techniques
Facilitate the development of critical thinking, conceptualization, and problem-solving skills
Consider the needs of each intern individually to ensure all required competencies are met and to allow for the pursuit of intern specific goals
The Practitioner-Scholar model is the underlying philosophy of NOPIP, as we consider the integration of research and practical experience to be essential
NOPIP Overview:
As a consortium, we have four agencies that contribute and commit to a training program that allows us to pool resources to further diversity the experience of our interns
Each consortium site provides interns great exposure to diverse populations and different types of interventions and assessments
The four components of the training model are: Intervention, Assessment, Didactic Training, and Supervision
